Cia de Nav. Vizcaya

In 1930 the steamer AULDMUIR was sold to Cia de Nav. Vizcaya, registered in Panama and was renamed RIPA.

I am trying to find additional information on this company and her areas of operation. Was it the same company as Compañía de Navegación Vizcaya, registered in Santander, that owned the steamers ALBIA and ABANDO in the 1920s?

Seems likely Aris.
Compañía de Navegación Vizcaya SA had lost ALBIA in September 1929, but were still operating ABANDO.
An early 1930s LR List of Owners will show whether ABANDO and RIPA listed together (sorry- none accessible to me at present).

RIPA, with that owner, is listed in the online index to Luis María del Busto Mandaluniz's Un siglo con la marina mercante (País Vasco - Servicio Central de Publicaciones, 2007).

Since she appears in the list of Spanish ships, it is safe to assume that despite her Panamanian flag she was owned by the same Spanish owners.

In July 1936 the Compania de Navegaciòn Vizcaya of Bilbao owned the old coaler ABANDO, 2,206 grt & 2,704 dwt, which remained in the Republican zone at the start of the civil war and completed at least a trip to Ijmuiden and back to Bilbao with a cargo of minerals, then made more trips among the Cantàbrico ports. On 8 Sept. 1936 she was captured by the Nationalist destroyer VELASCO while en route from the Asturias to Bilbao with a cargo of coal. She was taken to El Ferròl and laid up there until 1937, when she was returned to her owners after Bilbao had been taken by the Nationalists (18 June 1937).The other ship of Vizcaya, RIPA under Panamanian flag, was broken up in Piraeus at the end of July, 1936.

Thank you for the information. RIPA was indeed sold to Greeks (Mme Sigalas & Co) but not scrapped as mentioned. She was renamed TETI and was lost by grounding at Pillion on 16 October 1942 while under German control.
