There is a copy (in German) for sale at Corsaren (second hand bookshop) in Copenhagen/Denmark. Take a look at www.corsaren.dk, then at "søg vort lager" (search) and then "Forfatter" (author).

Hello Trevor,

I believe that you are referring to two different books.

Die U-booterfolge der achsenmachte 1939-1945

This book is available in english as Axis Submarine Successes of World War Two. The latest edition was released by Greenhill Books, London in 1999. You should be able to find it on amazon.

The other book Chronology of the War at Sea has been released twice. The first edition, in two volumes, was released in 1974 if memory serves me right. An expanded/revised edition, one volume, was released in 1989. A new edition of this magnificent book is 'imminent', I think it will be released by Naval Institute Press.

An online version of this book (at the moment it's a mix of the new and 1989 editions) can be found at

however it's in german.
