I am helping a friend find information about his father Holger Johansen, who is listed as a crewman on the ship Harboe Jensen age 17 from Norway, when it arrived in New York in Aug 1938. We know he was a Merchant Marine Seaman. Did he stay on this ship through WWII? According to the S.S.Death Index he died in 1970 in San Francisco. Any information about him and his time as a Merchant Marine would be greatly appreciated.
