I have no knowledge of this sinking other than sources quoted. I presume you have checked if your uncle is listed on www.cwgc.org.
If he was killed due to the normal hazards of the sea i.e. collision in convoy, storm etc. his name would not be listed. If his name appears then he was a victim of enemy action. Roger W. Jordan lists the ship built 1925 in Glasgow, 3319 grt, 5620 dwt, length 351'6", beam 48' 9", draft 21' 10", speed 9.5 kts. No picture. Hopefully John, someone with more knowledge of this incident will come up on this forum, as the John Bakke was involved someone from Norway may help.
