There is a lack of information on the cargo of this particular vessel.
Since it is reported that the convoy was to be dispersed it is believed that the vessel was on its way beyond Takoradi, with the opportunity taken to carry some aircraft required in the Middle East, to be off-loaded there.
A ferry route from Takoradi to Egypt had been established.
Aircraft types used by the RAF at that time were: Hurricanes Spitfires and Tomahawks.
It has been reported that Blenheim bombers in crates were also carried at some time to Takoradi.
