The Italian steamer "Lido", according to both "Navi mercantili perdute" and "La difesa del traffico con l'Albania, la Grecia e l'Egeo", was shelled and set afire by the submarine HMS Torbay on 27 February 1942; abandoned by her crew (who had lost four men), she ran aground near Cape Kastrosikia and she burned all through the night. According to "Navi mercantili perdute", she was refloated and towed to Preveza on 26 November 1942. Does anyone know her following fate?
