Attack on unknown Norwegian ship

I have found this in the KTB (war diary) of U-26:
03.02.40 04.13 hours
AN6276 (about 55°40N/03°57E, in the North Sea)
Torpedo fired - hit amidships / Pi-Versager (dud)
Steamer turns, stops. Side is lighted with a search light.
Because I was not able to see that the ship sinks, I went to the starboard side, where I can see a Norwegian flag. I did not fire anymore, to let them think that it was a mine hit.
Anyone knows which vessel this was?
