CLAN MACQUARRIE

I would welcome your thoughts.

CLAN MACQUARRIE was sunk by the Italian submarine LEONARDO DA VINCI 13/June/1942
The master and 60 survivors were rescued by the French vessel DESIRADE and landed at Cape Town.
A further 28 survivors, were landed in Trinidad.
Sources vary, probably due to various spelling errors as to the name of the rescuing ship. I have seen the name as CLARONA, CLAKRONA, and GIAROFA.
I personally think it was the Norwegian Tanker GLARONA
Could anyone confirm from a published source that it was in fact GLARONA.

Thanks and regards
Roger
