I´ve added some data to F 345 from KTB 2. L-Flottille in the last months:

- 09.09.1943 02.30 Uhr alle von Neapel kommenden Boote passieren Golf von Gaeta während eines Luftangriffs auf Formia und Gaeta. Boote heben sich gut vom erleuchteten Himmel ab. 03.00 Uhr aus dem Dunkeln, von den durch die Leuchtbomben geblendeten Besatzungen nicht rechtzeitig erkannte schießen S-Boote Torpedos auf die erste MFP-Gruppe ab. F 345 wird getroffen und beginnt zu sinken. 05.00 Uhr nach Bergung der Schiffbrüchigen wird das Wrack von F 345 versenkt. 1 Toter Maschinenbesatzung, 3 weitere verletzt.[4]

US MTB Squadron 15 in his Action Report No. 12 gives for 09.09.1943:
"On station the first division (PT 208, 218 and 207, 209) patrolled about one mile off the coast near Naples. Several times during the night, small vessels attempted to leave the harbour but when approached retired inside the breakwater. One "F" lighter succeeded in leaving to the west by following close along the coast. Three torpedoes were fired without result after which the lighter beached itself and so remained throught the night.
The second division contacted a trawler towing what later proved to be a MAS boat. The latter was sunk by a torpedo hit and the former enganged by gunfire. The trawler´s crew abondoned ship but the vessel remained afloat despite severe damage."

So I think F 345 was sunk by the US-Boats.
