Hello again,

looking through a german report (Gruppe Süd) I came upon the following strange message:

"22.01.44 1 U-Boot engl. oder it. 20 km südöstlich Pyrgos schwer beschädigt auf Strand gefunden, Boot war vor eintreffen deutschen Untersuchungsgruppe ausgeplündert und teilweise unter Wasser"

in english it would translate to something like

"Jan 22nd, 1944 one english or italian submarine found severely damaged on a beach 20 km southeast of Pyrgos. According to the german investigative team the sub was plundered and partly below water."

What submarine might this have been?
