Thank you for the wonderful information! I do not have my American Register with me so I cannot check on status of these ships in the late 30's early 40's. Any additional information, particularly regards to late names and fates, would be most welcome. Do you have yard numbers for any of them?
Related, do you have any information on other Phil Govt ships? according to that web site, a launch "Ranger" and a cable ship "Rizal" were also built. I have "Rizal" as built 1930 by Hong Kong & Whampoa for Nav. Filipina - is this the same ship?
I have a list of ships built by Uraga, also unfortunately not with me right now, but I have 3 interesting ships of the right tonnage finished in 1904 for the Japanese Army: "Senkai #1", "Senkai #2", and "Senkai #3" Could these be the 3 originally ordered by the US for the Phil Govt Coast Guard? I assume that construction was underway at Uraga when they were rejected by the US? I have yard numbers 16, 17, and 18 for these three.
thanks for your help!
Ralph
