YP-77, ex- PC-523, sunk by collision off the U.S. Atlantic coast. 28 April 1942.

YP-277, destroyed by fire after striking a U.S. mine off the French Frigate Shoals, North Pacific Ocean. 23 May 1942.

YP-128, sunk after running aground in heavy weather three miles northeast of Monterey, California. 30 June 1942.

YP-270, sunk after running aground in heavy weather at Baja, Mexico north of Isla Magdalena at position 25/30 N; 112/06 W, en route from San Diego, California to the Panama Canal Zone. 30 June 1942

YP-74, ex- ENDEAVOR sunk by collision with the merchant vessel DERBLAY off Unimak Island, Aleutians at position 51/23 N; 164/10 W. 6 September 1942.

YP-346, sunk by Japanese light cruiser SENDAI and three destroyers off of Tulagi, Solomon Islands. YP 346 under the command of Captain Joaquin S. Theodore was anchored in Tulagi harbor when the Japanese shelled shore positions. The YP-346, a converted California tuna boat was hit, set on fire and run aground. 9 September 1942.

YP-345, lost cause unknown about 80 miles northeast of Laysan Island while en route from French Frigate Shoals to Midway Island, North Pacific Ocean. 31 October 1942.

YP-205, lost after grounding at Saba Island, Caribbean Sea, at position 18/30 N; 65/00 W. 1 November 1942.

YP-26, destroyed by explosion, unknown cause, while on the marine railway at Cristobal, Panama Canal Zone. 19 November 1942.

YP-405, sunk after fire off Smith Shoal, near Key West, Florida. 20 November 1942.

YP-492, damaged and abandoned after collision with YP-613 off of Mayport, Florida. Boat is later recovered and used on shore for recruit training. 8 January 1943.

YP-183, originally the 71 foot long Aku Sampan FUJI MARU was sunk after running aground during a storm at Mahaiula Bay, Kona, Hawaii. 12 January 1943.

YP-577, destroyed by explosion, unknown cause, near the Great Lakes Training Center off of Illinois. 23 January 1943.

YP-72, ex-CALVACADE, sunk after running aground at the Spruce Cape entrance to Kodiak, Alaska. 22 February 1943.

YP-336, sunk after running aground in the Delaware River. 23 February 1943.

YP-438, sunk after running aground on a submerged breakwater at the entrance to Port Everglades, Florida. 20 March 1943.

YP-235, sunk by explosion, cause unknown in the Gulf of Mexico. 1 April 1943.

YP-453, sunk after grounding on the Bahamas Bank, Bahama Islands.

YP-422, ex- MIST, foundered after grounding on Tumbo Reef, near the North Bulari Passage, New Caledonia.

YP-481, sunk after running aground off of Charleston, South Carolina.

YP-47, sunk after collision with the minesweeper YMS-110 in the Ambrose Channel, off of Staten Island, New York.

YP-279, foundered in storm off of Townsville, Australia.

YP-426, sunk after running aground in heavy weather off of Savannah, Georgia at position 31/59 N; 80/48 W.
