Hello Herbert,

according to Peter Smith (Battle of the narrow seas/163) the destroyers involved were Calpe and Cottesmore, overall commander Lcdr J. C. A. Ingram. Action was engaged at 0245 hrs, 15 nm off Cherbourg. There is no mention of any participation by MTBs.
Smith also states the DDs were subjected to attacks by the Luftwaffe on their way back and near-misses caused 3 casualties aboard Cottesmore.

There is no mention of an engagement on 13/6/44, are you certain V.203 was not one of he many vessels hit during the night air raid on Le Havre?

Regards, Brian
