KLAUS FRITZEN was owned by Johs Fritzen & Sohn vorm W Kunstmann, of Stettin, and had been renamed from Wilhelm Kunstmann in 1938.
The vessel was built by Vulcan Werke, Hamburg, and completed in 1922.
It was 2936 gross tons, 4650 deadweight tons, length overall 328.5 feet, breadth 45.1 feet, draught 19.45 feet, length of poop deck 38 feet, length of bridge deck 62 feet, length of forecastle 28 feet. Machinery was a Vulcan triple-expansion engine of 147 nominal horsepower that gave the vessel a service speed of 9.5 knots.
It was bombed by RAF aircraft and sunk "off Bremangerland" on 4 May 1942.
Hope this is useful.
