In the case ASTREA there is quite a discrepancy in the position between Dutch and Italian sources. The TAZZOLI patrol report gives it as 28°05 N/63°30 W versus 29°12 N/46°29 W. Possibly the Dutch information came from her last recorded position?
As for OSCILLA the information matches reasonably well the MOROSINI patrol report which claimed torpedo hits at 0503 and 0534/16 March 1942 (the time differential can be explained by Italian submarines following Rome time, I assume OSCILLA's time was local time which was probably GMT -5.5?). The torpedo hits from the Dutch side are given as about 25 minutes apart versus the 31 minutes in the Italian report. C.C. Fraternale also reported another hit at 0520 but claimed the torpedo failed to explode. The respective positions 19°15 N/60°25 W (Dutch) versus 19°09 N/60°36 W (Italian) area again reasonably close considering the whole action took nearly 2 hours.
