According to Abert-List (A538) LÜBECK,blt. 1923 by Krupp-Germaniawerft has been sold 18. Jan. 1940 to "Nordische Schiffahrts- und Handelsgesellschaft", Hamburg, renamed FRANKENSTEIN.
15. June 1940 groundet off Florö (norw.), sunk 20. July 1940.
Dinklage/Witthöft: Die Deutsche Handelsflotte 1939-1945:
FRANKENSTEIN ex LÜBECK 15.6.1940 north of Flotoe run aground
Schmelzkopf: Die deutsche Handelsschiffahrt 1919-1939 writes:
LÜBECK/FRANKENSTEIN †15.6.40 near Flotoe/No, wreck, †20.7.40
(† means: lost by sea-accident)
