Can anybody help?
The old factoryship SS Hektoria (1), Hektor Whaling Co., Tønsberg Norway, (built 1892 in West Hartlpool as Wentworth or Inchmarce), was torpedoed en route US to UK with oilcargo 16th. April 1917.
Does anybody know more exactly where she went down, and which u boat who caused her fate?
Also, info about the vessels history and datas before converted to a factory ship are most welcome. All I know is that the c. 5000 GRT ship (386-48-28') probably was British owned.
Regards
Ulf.
