Nariva, 8,723grt, (Royal Mail Line) was torpedoed and damaged by U-600 on the 17th March 1943 and again by U-91 and finally had to be sunk from gunfire from the destroyer HMS Mansfield and the corvette HMS Anemone while sailing from Buenos Aries to Swansea via New York in the 40 ship Convoy HX-229.
