Hi Theo.
In one of my christmaspresents was the book "Forlis i Bergensleden" by Erik Bakkevig, -which has some info on SOGNEFJORD I's fate.
SOGNEFJORD I was a wooden coaster owned by Sigurd Vollevik, Askøy / homeport Bergen, but at some point during ww2 she was requsitioned by german authorities and used for transporting food and equippment to fortresses and so forth in the Hordaland-area. She sank in april 1943, after she grounded outside of Sønstabøvågen on the westside of Bømlo, probably as a result of enginefailure in heavy weather. She had german crew of 4, which was saved by local fishermen.
Merry christmas!
