John had been hospitalized for the past several months in the Pipestone Hospital and at Sioux Valley Hospital where he died. Survived by Hattie Viet, St. Paul, Cleo DeVreede of Bellflower, California and Ole Wold of Hilo, Hawaii (probably Olaf).
Military rites conducted by V.F.W. Post 3814 of Pipestone.
Eployed by the Jasper Stone Quarries.
