Meat, Milk and Eggs were totally absent, while up to September inclusive a gross daily average of one ounce of fresh fish per person was provided; also an average of two small bananas per person per month, and no citru s fruit at all. Green vegetables were almost all supplied by the Camp Garden.

During 1944 the Camp Garden supplied the Camp with 247,765 lbs. (approx. 124 tons) of Produce. 117 tons were green vegetables, of which the largest crop was Talinum, 75 tons.
