Libeccio sailed from Naples at 1230/26 November 1940, with the destroyers Freccia, Saetta and Dardo (13th Squadron), she was screening the battleships Vittorio Veneto and Giulio Cesare.

That makes a force of 15 Italian DD in the battle not 14 DD as many sources say.
