steamer HUONG-HOI ex PAO MIN

Post by AvM » Sat Feb 12, 2022 6:25 pm

Chinese cruiser PAO MIN (built 1845 by Kiangnan Arsenal, Shanghai) was in effect of Civil War found in 1920 in Vietnam. She was offered for sale at Haiphong, lately in 1925.

According to L’Avenir du Tonkin, 21 octobre 1926
she was purchased by Luong-chong--Hoi and renemed WONG NGOI and was planned to rebuilt her
and sent to Haiphong-Hong-Kong service.

In any case that ship appeared in Lloyds as HUONG-HOI owned by L. A. Teyssier, Haiphong
and from 1929 owned by Huong Chong Hoi (Pierre-Paul Luigi), Haiphong.

Ufrotunately I haw nota able to find any movements of that ship.

Perhaps somebody could help with any detais about 1917-1935 fates of that ship
