HMS Fitzroy

Post by Jordi Comas » Sat Apr 11, 2020 9:38 am

Hi all,

British minewsweeper Fitzroy was mined and sunk 27 May 1942 off Great Yarmouth while sweeping mines. She was in company with others minesweepers of her flotilla. I'm trying to know which minewsweepers were.

Just I know 2 of them: Selkirk and Sutton but I don't know if there were anyone else. Also, 14 crew members were killed. Do you know how many survivors were rescued and which vessel saved them?

Thank you very much
Jordi

Do not know the number, but can say that drifter FISHER BOY picked up survivors
