Hi all,

What Force H units were with British destroyer Martin at time of her loss on 10/11/42 when she was torpedoed by German U-431 off Algiers during Operation Torch?

Submarine Lafolé

Hi all,

Italian submarine Lafolé was sunk 20/10/40 by British DDs Griffin, Gallant, Hotspur off Alboran Island. 3 other British DDs were present in the hunt: Forester, Fury and another one. Do you know wich one?

Hi all, Force H sailed on 5 July 1940 (Operation Lever) to finish her job trying to destroy French BB Dunkerque at Mers-el-Kebir after Operation Catapult against French fleet on 3 July 1940. I was looking for convoy AT.36 from Alexandria (30/3/41) to Tobruk (2/4/41). Not TA.36.
M is for Mediterranean.

If you look at convoy escort movements of HMS Eridge and HMS Beaufort in naval-history.net you'll find that they were involved in this convoy.

Hi, Brian,

Yes, the underwater teams entered in Alexandria at the same time when the destroyers arrived and possibly came alongside the tanker to fuel.

Hi all, The night of 19/12/41 during the Italian underwater attack against BB Valiant, Queen Elizabeth and MT Sagona at Alexandria, 4 destroyers were refuelling from the tanker. No, sorry. Just that it was taken by the Republicans at the beginning of the war, so it would be on September 1936.

Tug Rio Turia was sunk after being hit by a bomb on 1 March 1939 at Cartagena during a bombing raid taken by 5 Italian S.79 bombers.
