Re: Question to forum members
Trust me, Phil, they get deleted even before breakfast, thereby sometimes depriving you of that good laugh! Sorry, not sorry.
Thank you for being here, we go back a long way, through several versions of the forum, you and I.

Re: Question to forum members
If I understand you correctly, this would be a separate section, concentrating on topics other than ships? If so, I’m not sure that would be a fit, since this entire website has to do with ships and seamen. Besides, I’m sure there are plenty of other such general forums “out there”. Also, I would wo...

Question to forum members
I’ve been wondering, has anyone been sending you spam via private messages through the forum? I’ve been seeing several new registrations here and there that are clearly up to no good, and these get deleted as soon as I spot them. But my problem is that there are others where I can’t be sure, so I’m ...

Re: Voyage Lists on Warsailors.com
Jakob, try the links now (my son to the rescue, very quickly and effectively).
Thank you again for letting me know, without your mentioning it, I never would have known.

Re: Voyage Lists on Warsailors.com
I have now reuploaded those archive documents, but the links still go to an error page, so this requires further investigation. I’ll get back to you.

Re: Voyage Lists on Warsailors.com
Thank you so much Phil and Jakob for making me aware of this glitch. It’s not on your side only, I get an error message too. I’ll see if I can upload those 2 archive documents again. They used to work just fine in the past but clearly something has happened since.

Re: M/S Elizabeth Bakke Op RUBBLE
I do have crew lists for Operation Performance, including names of seamen from Romanby, but this took place the following year https://www.warsailors.com/freefleet/kvarstad2.html so won’t be of much help, unless this is the operation your great uncle took part in? But you say you’ve done extensive r...

Re: M/S Elizabeth Bakke Op RUBBLE
You may also be able to get some help by contacting Riksarkivet (National Archives of Norway). They hold all of Nortrasips archives. Though I’m not positive they would have the names of foreign nationals who took part in this operation, it’s worth a try. Have you tried British archives? That might b...

Re: Searching the Old Forum Posts
You also wrote something about you’ve been waiting to be able to search the forums, and I just wanted to clarify why it had taken so long. But either way, I feel awful that I deleted both our posts in one sweep. I know how it happened now but it would be too hard to explain. It’s the second time I’v...

Re: Searching the Old Forum Posts
Darius, I just made a big boo boo, I thought I had responded to your post, where you said you had been waiting for a way to search the old forums, but instead I deleted both my response and your post! I’m so sorry, no idea how it happened, and no idea how to get it back. All I can do is apologize an...

Re: Soviet motor vessel Voroshilov torpedoed on 29 March 1942 - are further details known?
I am so dreadfully sorry, Marty, I think we may have lost that window of opportunity! Unless, would you be willing to wait until this summer? I have no idea how to do it, and would need help from my son, who at this time of year is an extremely busy professor in st Andrew, with a long commute to Edi...
