SOLITUDE

Greetings All
It must be a long time since the Forum has been so quiet.
I trust that this interlude has not been too onerous.

My best wishes to you all, and trust that it will not be too long before things are buzzing again.

Re: Convoy AT.36

Greetings Jordi
Are you sure of the Convoy Number?
Hague has AT36 and A36M,but they do not match your query.
One refers to the Empress of Scotland from Halifax to the Clyde.

Good hunting

Re: Convoy AS.7

Greetings Jordi
Arnold Hague on www.convoyweb.org.uk gives two options for AS7.
AS7 has Aquitania only.
AS7/1 states departure 28 11 1940, arrival 02 12 1940. But no further details of vessels.

Good hunting

Strangely, Cunningham's book and The War at Sea have very little to say on Spartavento.
All donations will gratefully be received!!

Re: Shetland Bus

A Major L H Mitchell was the CO based in Shetland, with a junior naval officer, David Howarth, as second-in-command. The boo...
