Re: What happened to Vorpostenboot V 6517

That is possible.

War diary 65. Vorpostenflottille ends 31.01.1945, and there V 6517 is still mentioned.

Re: Memelland ex Etrema

I can't find any attack on MEMELLAND in norwegian waters.

War diary 61. Vorpostenflottille only reports the escort of MEMELLAND and war diary Admiral norwegische Polarküste states that MEMELLAND reached Kirkesnes at 13:00.

War diary U 81 speaks of one (strong) explosion and a grey and white cloud, but the target was covered by another ship at the moment of the hit(s).

Re: Battle of Spartivento

Hello Jordi!

Uboat.net has extended their website a lot with war diary based pages about british ships.
It is always worth to take a look there.

The "Tripe" force included: Aircraft carrier HMS Eagle Heavy cruiser HMS Berwick Light cruisers HMS Ajax, HMS Orion and HMAS Sydney [no battleships involved] I do not know the exact ...

When on google the first hits are on "stopforumspam.com" then I mostly delete these new members immediately. Experience shows that so far I never have dele...
