Deniz???

Hello!

One question. On 19th October 1959, the minesweeper HMS BURNASTON intercepted a turkish vessel called "Deniz" smuggling weapons to Cyprus. Sources state that boat as a caique or an M/V. Is there realy any possibility for a clarification?

Thanks a lot!

Re: Cyprus 1964

It is true that the commanding officer of "Phaethon" reported manuevering between two american ships. The Turks claimed that there was an italian ship under greek flag which they strafed with a second wave after the previous wave let "Phaethon" burning. It is also true that Karav...

Hello everyone! I'm asking for your help in the identification of the merchant vessel in the background: https://i.postimg.cc/Rqd4b19f/1.png According to some sources it may be an ore carrier of american or italian ownership under greek flag. Hello Platon: The following derives from Aris'es forum: Miramar lists her as having been launched as Rio Jamary on February 15, 1911 and completed at Smith's Dock in South Bank, Middlesborough on February 1912. But the shipyard itself has her completed in June 1911. http://www.teesbuiltships.co.uk/s...

WHICH SHIP?

Hello!

Can anyone possibly identify this ship?

It is mentioned as the 1938 norwegian MV Rigel but it is certainly not. There is a "T" on the funnel. It is not the TRANSCOMAR steamer Rigel either

Sinfra???

Hello!

I am looking for the movements of the MV SINFRA in the Aegean between 12-16 September 1943. Is there any information perhaps? I have some individual references about Salonika, Leros, Piraeus but nothing certain.

Thank you!

Piroscafo Motia

Hello!

I am looking information about an italian steamer called MOTIA which was present in WW2. I wonder if there is any technical info and if that ship had a notable event during its career. In the web there is nothing special unfortunately.

Thank you!

Cassandra like Poseidi lays at the middle of the western coast of the westmost of the three peninsulas while entering Salonika bay.
