Hello all

"Brand IV" was requested in April 1940 for service as a hospitalship by Norwegian authorities. Anybody who knows which depatment/body which requested her? On the 18.04.40 (another source claims 29.04.40?) she was attacked by German aircraft (which squadron?)nearby Bjørnøy outside Ålesund.
Anybody who can describe the exact position / place where the ship was attacked? In another source - "Marinens fartøyer 1939-1945" - claims that the ship was attacked when at Sykkylven?

She was later on repaired and requested by German authorities. Anybody who knows what her sevice was then? Anything is of great interest.

Returned to her owners - Bernt Fauske A/S - in 1945.
Sold 1964 and renamed "Sailing Fair" in 1964 and again sold in 1973. Renamed "Gideon".
