Hi all,
How many casualties there were on board French destroyer Maillé-Brezé on 30/4/40 when one of her torpedoes exploded at Greenock and sank her?
Some sources say 27, others 28, 33 or 37, and 47 wounded.
Thank you very much
Jordi

Re: Maillé-Brezé
Hello,
Following the book "La Campagne de Norège" edited by the Service Historique de la Marine, the report of the commission of inquiry of the French Navy reports a balance sheet is 6 dead, 21 missing and 47 wounded.
The Maillé Brézé was under command of capitaine de frégate Glotin.
Regards
Alain
