Fate of some sailing vessels

Hi, I am looking for information on the final fate of a number of American/Canadian sail barges of the thirties/forties:

A.H. Olwine: (sometimes, apparently unofficial, called A.E. Olwine), American, wooden hull, 1.077 grt., built 1917 by Clooney Const. & Tow Co., Westlake, La. I found somewhere (Rhode Island wrecksite) that she hit rocks on Nov 16, 1942 near John Russell Pope estate, Bailey's Beach, Newport during a storm and was total-loss. But this source mentions a “2nd loss date” of Aug. 18, 1944 while her last entry is in Lloyd’s 1944-45 so I wonder if Nov. 16, 1942 is the whole story.

Allegany: American, wooden hull, 2.299 grt. Built 1921 by Gildersleeve Const. Co., Gildersleeve, Conn. Last mentioned by Lloyd’s 1944-45.

Andrew McDonald: American, 2.218 grt. Built 1918. I can find her in Lloyd’s 1933-34 but not much more.

Beattie: American, wooden hull, 1.117 grt. Built 1904 by Kelley, Spear & Co., Bath, Me. Last found in Lloyd’s 1940-41.

Belmont: American, 1.491 grt., built 1891 by Russell & Co., Port Glasgow. Last found in Lloyd’s 1940-41.

Betsy Ross: Canadian, ex American, wooden hull, 1.505 grt., built 1917 by Seaborne Shipyards Co., Tacoma, Wash. Around 1935 (does anybody know exactly which year?) from American to Canadian registry. Last found in Lloyd’s 1942-43

Thank you.

Martin

Hi Joe, yes it helps - a few "pieces of the puzzle" put in place.

Thank you very much.
