I'm looking for information on the German auxiliary minesweeper Doggerbank, which was mined and sunk on January 19, 1918 in the North Sea on a just laid Royal Navy minefield. Am interested in Doggerbank's tonnage, year built, builder, and dimensions.

Best wishes,
Michael

hi,

according to Gröner, Doggerbank was one of a series of steamers named after the first ship Otto Fricke.

They were built from 1914 to 1921, Doggerbank presumably in 1915, at Seebeck shipyard, Geestemünde

Tonnage for the ships differed slightly between 231 and 242 BRT, no specifics are given for Doggerbank.

Dimensions were: length between 38,78 and 39,34 m, width 7,02 m, draught 3,30 m.

greetings, Urs
