From the following information it would possibly be trading under the German flag:
PLM-23 was built in 1921 by Sir Raylton Dixon, Middlesbrough for the Soc. Nationale d'Affrètements, Le Havre. On August 5th, 1940, PLM-23 was seized by the Germans at Bordeaux and transfered to Unterweser Reederei A.G., Bremen. On December 29th, 1940, PLM-23 was wrecked in a storm, off Scharhorn.
Good hunting
Phil

Hello Kurt and Phil,
Just a little precision. The P.L.M. 23, captured by the Germans, is assigned the registration number A1N for Operation Seelöwe.
Best regards
