During the last weeks I tried to fill the fate of each Castle-class trawler at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castle-class_trawler
There are still some left with unknown demise including the following three:

La Blanche II (ex James Laveney) Extant 1941 under French flag. Fate?

Notre Dame De Laghet (ex William Cowling) Seized by Germans - designated FL 08 and lost Sept 1943. How and where she was lost?

Apuania (ex Gianni, ..., William Beeton) Extant 1943 under Italian flag. Fate?

Can anyone provide some additional information on their demise?

Hello Aris,

according to an older source the Notre Dame De Laghet was lost on September 23, 1943 during a U.S. air attack on Nantes.

Best regards,
