ARCTIC STAR

Greetings all
I have been helping a neighbour with an application for a Arctic Star to be awarded for her Father, now deceased.
We have hit a NO.
We have photographic evidence that the vessel concerned was in the designated area, but the photos are not dated, or with a visible name, and the person who took the photos is no longer with us.
We are left with two questions.
Two ships HMS KASTORIA and HMS MOUNT KEEN, both vessels taken-up from trade were believed to have been in the designated area at the requisite time. The gentleman concerned was on both vessels during the qualifying time, 03 Sept.1939 to 08 May1945.
