British steamer AULDMUIR was chartered in June 1914 by Weidner, Hopkins & Co. who sub-chartered her to carry a cargo of timber from Vyborg and Kotka in Finland (then Russia). When WWI errupted, the Russian authorities did not allowed her to depart from Kotka. Her Captain and 1rst Engineer remained onboard while the rest of the crew repatriated.
Did AULDMUIR remained inactive at Kotka until the end of WWI?
