Thank you Brian one more time!
Just, ADM is an official source?
The following books: Eagle's war and Malta convoys tell that it was Wrestler not Partridge, but history.net says Partridge.
Regards

Re: Operation Style 1942
Hi Jordi,
The ADM series is a huge collection of files at the National Archives at Kew in which the abbrevation ADM stands for Admiralty.
This section is devided into a lot of sub sections, for instance ADM 53 holds ships logs, ADM 173 holds submarine logs, ADM 199 holds many war diaries of commands amongst many other files.
So the source i quote is indeed an official source.
Over the last 12 years i have visited the Archives at least once a year and have now a collection of over 600.000 digital photographs of documents available to me. These were not all taken by myself as i got quite a number from Platon and he got quite some from me. Better to work together then both having to photograph the same files.
I still have a rather long list of files to photograph during the next few years, unfortunately, i was unable to go early January this year due to the Covid crisis. London is one of the last places on earth one currently want to be, besides that the Archives are currently closed due to the Covid crisis was well.
Kind regards,
Brian Corijn

Re: Operation Style 1942
hi,
according to the Chronik des Seekriegs, there was a second sortie of EAGLE and escorts on June, 9, to fly off Spitfires to Malta, the first (June, 3) w/o Partridge, the second (June, 9) with Partridge
Was that sortie still part of STYLE or did it have an own code name ?
greetings, Urs
