Hi all,

British destroyer Penylan was torpedoed and sunk by S.115 in the English Channel 3/12/42 while escorting convoy PW-257.

The convoy was composed by 7 merchants escorted by 2 escort destroyers, 5 trawlers and 3 ML motor launches.
I'm trying to identify those ships:

Merchants:
Isac (2385 GRT/26), Gâtinais (383 GRT/33), Jernland (1289 GRT/05), Bonita (4929 GRT/18), Honsburg (unknown), 2 more
Escorts:
DE Penylan, Tynedale
TW Ensay, 4 more
ML ?

Thank you very much
Jordi

The Gâtinais was sunk during the same attack by 5th Schnellboot flotilla, by boats S 81 and/or S 116, just a few minutes earlier.

greetings, Urs
