Can anyone help with information on French minesweepers AD501 BROCHET (307 grt x SAGLIOLA) and AD502 ARS-EN-RE (736 grt x ARSIA)?

Thank you.
Both vessels are Italian, do you know how they ended in the Vichy French navy in 1940?

Hello Atle,
It seems they were captured by the French at Porto Torres on 4.9.1940

The armistice between Italy and France was effective from 25 June 1940. Was there any fighting between France and Italy later in 1940? (Porto Torres is on northern Sardinia).

Hello,
During WW II, there were no minesweepers bearing the names of Brochet and Ars en RĂ© in the French Navy.
The site to which Maurice gave the link is an uchronie site.
On the left side of the pdf there is a note written in red specifying it.
