The auxiliary patrol boat Heureux and auxiliary minesweeper Tatiana, both listed as seized by British 3.7.1940, were both paid off in Casablanca September 1940. How did they end up in Vichy-French Morocco?

The Tatiana (AD 50) was required the 4th september 1939 at Dieppe and assigned to the 24ème Section de Dragage in Le Havre. The 7th may 1940, the 24ème Section reached Casablanca to strengthen the naval forces stationed in Morocco. The ships was returned to fishing activity in septembre 1940 in North Africa aera.
The Heureux ( P 28) was required in september 1939 and assigende to the 4ème Escadrille de Patrouilleurs Auxiliaires in Brest. The 18th june 1940, she sail from Brest to Plymouth. She sail from Plymouth the 22th june to Saint Nazaire escorting two tugs responsible for evacuating the oil tanker Palmyre off France. The oil tanker having run aground in the Loire and could not be put back afloat, the Heureux sail to Casablanca. She was delimitariser in october 1940 and return in South France. She was sized by Kriegsmarine as UJ 2213. She was sunk by HMS Sickle the 15 th 1943 off Monte Carlo.
