swedish ARA, german SEEFAHRER and HÖDUR

Post by Kurt Hoffmann » Fri Jan 03, 2020 12:43 pm

Hello again and for all a happy new year.
For my updating my homepage "www.schiffswrackliste.de", I found 3 ships, where was no voyage or route in convoy.
1. swedish ARA; 2378 grt, sunk 08.04.1942 near Terschelling.
2. SEEFAHRER x ANGLO ( norwegian ) , 2978 grt, sank 18.04.1942 near Juist.
3. HÖDUR ( 5368 grt ), sunk by HMS TRIDENT on 20.04.1942 near Namsos.

Did these vessels sail in convois ?

thanks for help and answer

HÖDUR left Aalesund 19.04.1942 0600, sailing for Tromsoe with 8000 t coal.
She left together with two tankers (GERDMOR and TIGER), but they proceeded towards Drontheim.

Hi Kurt

Ara: was in convoy of 5 cargos and 5 escorts (sorry I don't know which ones) from Göteborg to Rotterdam.
Hödur: Alone from Alesund to Tromsö
