Hi all,
Italian destroyer Antonio Pigafetta was damaged by RAF airplanes 26/4/43 while on route from Tunis to Trapani with destroyers Leone Pancaldo and Hermes after delivering some supplies. Do you know where and if she had any casualties on board?
Thank you very much
Jordi

Re: Antonio Pigafetta
Hi Jordi,
Attack carried out at 1750 hours in 37°12.2' N, 10°55.3' E, one bomb missed her by 10-12 metres on the port side near the aft torpedo tubes. Some damage but no casualties reported. Hermes and Pancaldo were unhurt.
Best regards,
Platon
