Wooden coaster BUSANT

Post by davidships » Fri Nov 11, 2022 9:07 pm

Does anyone have info on the 83-foot Norwegian wooden coaster BUSANT - builder, owners, service area etc.
At some point she was owned by Ingvar Drågen: https://www.pidragen.com/Sider%20linket ... usant.html

She was in Lerwick in July 1989 https://www.shipspotting.com/photos/248770 on the way to Falmouth.
She was bought by local company Fair Isle Trading to run between Penzance/Falmouth and the Scilly Islands, but was later replaced. In July 1994 she broke her moorings and went ashore, and was seemingly abandoned: http://pembrokeshire-pictures.co.uk/ima ... 6_14-34-35. In June 1997 she was broken up by the British Army's Royal Logistics Corps as an exercise.

Hi David, you probably want this - https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/38605/625
Its her digitized Norwegian registration papers. Let me know if you can't open the link or need help with the translation.

Built in Brevik 1947, sold to Scotland 1979.

Wow!! That is amazing, erlbon.
A quick thank you for the moment.
I am transcribing it - there are a few uncertainties - and will send by PM later.
