according to http://www.naval-history.net/xDKWW2-4110-37OCT02.htm , the mines were laid off St. Valery-en-Caux. That would be slightly more to the East, in BF 37

hi, Gröner's "Die deutschen Kriegsschiffe 1815-1945", Vol. 2, p. 175, gives the loss position as 47°18' N, 04°20' E (!) where the eastern longitude is an obvious error. The position 47°18' N, 04°20' W would be, however, outside of the triangle given by Platon (I presume from "British ...
