HMS Fitzroy

Hi all, British minewsweeper Fitzroy was mined and sunk 27 May 1942 off Great Yarmouth while sweeping mines. She was in company with others minesweepers of her flotilla. I'm trying to know which minewsweepers were. Just I know 2 of them: Selkirk and Sutton but I don't know if there were anyone else....

Yes Urs,

I've found the following casualties on board CL Trinidad 14/5/42:

59 killed on Trinidad
27 killed from Edinburgh
19 killed from Botavon

Hi all, I'm trying to know number of casualties on board HMS Trinidad sunk by Ju-88 bombers in the Arctic 15 May 1942. On 29 March 1942 the ship had 32 killed after being hit by one of her own torpedos and german gunfire from German destroyers in a sea battle. Is this right? On 15 May 1942 was sunk ...

The attack was made by 27 Nell bombers, not Betty's.

Just one question. Indian Sloop Indus was bombed and sunk by Japanese airplanes off Akyab 6/4/42. Do you know what time?

Thank you Darius,

Some survivors may have been rescued by Japanese forces because 7 crew members of Electra died in captivity during the war.

Hi all,

Do you know what merchant ships were at Colombo harbor at time of Japanese attack on 5/4/42?

There were 21 merchants and 8 auxiliaries (Lucia and Hector not included).

Just I have:

Norwegian: Soli, Fingal
British: Benledi, British Sergeant, Clan Murdoch

Over Grasshopper the key is to know how many people were on board.
