Looking for Alf Solgaard Jensen

Hello!
I am looking for information about my now deceased grandfather. We know he sailed before, during and after world war II, including the D-day landing at Normany. We don't know, however, which ships he sailed on and what else he experienced. We would like to find out.
His name is Alf Solgaard Jensen, and he was born in 1917.
