George David Reed--Davey, Taffy, etc--sailed on Norwegian ships for most of the war. He was from Barry, South Wales. He married a Norwegian girl in Brooklyn in '45.

Dad was on Torvanger when she was torpedoed. He is terminally ill with cancer, though he has outlasted the dr's predictions--I guess when you survive in a lifeboat, cancer is put into perspective. Dad is now 83, living in Florida, and would love to hear from shipmates.
