hello all,
to add another piece to the picture, it is a curious fact, that the Imperial German Navy did not have destroyers in its shipbuilding program as they were considered to be too large for action in the north Sea.
The few destroyers put into commission were, originally, all built for foreign navies and appropriated by the German navy after the outbreak of the war. They proved their value and the false assumption in the Navy´s shipbuilding program.
V 100, was built for Russia by Vulcanwerft, Stettin,
G 101-104 were built for Argentina by Germaniawerft, Kiel.
Greetings, Urs
