Da das von Theo ausgewertete deutsche KTB den Verlust aber für den 12./13. Juli 1941 ausweist, halte ich seine Vermutung einer bewußten Falschmeldung durch die französische Besatzung für die plausibelste Variante.
Ob sie damit nun eine sonst nicht mögliche Versicherungsentschädigung erhalten wollten oder nur eine Untersuchung mit eventuellem Patentverlust wegen eines Navigationsfehlers vermeiden wollten ?

Man sollte viel mehr daran denken das bei diesen Fahrten mit den wertvollen Erz der Vorwurf von Sabotage auch ein starker Grund gewesen sein kann !
